The Silk Route in Sikkim, including Gangtok, is a breathtaking journey through the Eastern Himalayas, offering scenic landscapes, historical trade routes, and rich cultural heritage. This route was once part of the ancient Silk Road that connected Tibet with India and is now a famous tourist circuit.
Travel: Begin your journey by taking a flight or train from Kolkata to Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP). NJP/Siliguri to Sillery Gaon Home Stay, After lunch, walk to Remeti View Point or Ichhegaon and sit on the balcony in the evening and have tea.
Accommodation: Settle into your hotel and take the evening to explore the local markets and savor Sikkimese cuisine.
After breakfast from Sillery Gaon, we will leave for Lingtham. We will also see the Rishi River in Rishikhola. After doing some shopping at the permit and local shop in Rangli Bazar, we will leave for Lingtham. On the way, we will see Qukhola Falls, Lingtham, Bakutar River and the site scene of AritaR. For example, Siddhi Vinayak Temple, Arita Lake, Mankhim Viewpoint, spend the night in Lingtham.
After breakfast, we will leave for Zuluk. On the way, we will see the site scene of Padamchen. Night bus ZULUK.
After breakfast, we will leave for the Silk Route.. On the road, we will first find Zuluk village, a little above it, we will reach #Zigzag view point by climbing along the zigzag road. From this place, we can see the famous zigzag route, after which we will reach #Thambi_Viewpoint. Trying to keep the memories with Kanchenjunga in front. Then we will see #Nathang_valley. Today is also our night bus to ZULUK.
Tsomgo Lake: A glacial lake situated at an altitude of 12,400 ft, known for its stunning beauty.
Baba Mandir: A shrine dedicated to Baba Harbhajan Singh, a revered figure among locals and soldiers.
Settle into your hotel and take the evening to explore the local markets and savor Sikkimese cuisine.
Morning: Visit the Enchey Monastery, a serene Buddhist monastery offering panoramic views of the city.
Afternoon: Explore the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology to delve into Tibetan culture and history.
Evening: Drive back to NJP or Siliguri for your return journey to Kolkata.
Drop at Sealdah in the morning with sweet & beautiful memories.
