Itinerary

Day 1: Kolkata →NJP→Rimbik.

Take an overnight train from Sealdah to New Jalpaiguri (NJP) (e.g., Darjeeling Mail or Padatik Express).

Arrive at NJP in the morning and have Breakfast.

Hire a private car or shared jeep to Rimbik (Approx. 7-8 hrs).

Check into a Homestay/Hotel in Rimbik, explore the local village and enjoy the scenic views.

Overnight Stay: Rimbik.

Day 2: Rimbik → Srikhola (3 km trek / 15 min drive).

After breakfast, trek to Srikhola (a short, easy trek through forests).

Enjoy the scenic beauty, riverside, and wooden bridges.

Visit the Srikhola Suspension Bridge and relax by the river.

Explore local culture and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Overnight Stay: Srikhola.

Day 3: Srikhola → Okhrey (Drive - 3-4 hrs).

Post breakfast, start for Okhrey via Manebhanjan.

Okhrey is the gateway to Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary.

Stroll around the village, visit local monasteries, and enjoy the sunset.

Overnight Stay: Okhrey.

Day 4: Okhrey → Barsey → Okhrey.

Return to Okhrey by evening.

Day 5: Okhrey → Bijanbari (Drive - 5 hrs).

After breakfast, start for Bijanbari, a hidden gem near Darjeeling.

Visit Singalila National Park en route.

Explore tea gardens, waterfalls, and local culture in Bijanbari.

Overnight Stay: Bijanbari.

Day 6: Bijanbari → Meghma (Drive - 3 hrs).

Overnight Stay: Meghma.

Day 7: Meghma → NJP → Kolkata.

Post breakfast, descend towards Siliguri/NJP (5-6 hrs drive).

Board an evening/night train to Kolkata.

Reach Kolkata the next morning.
