Itinerary

Day 1: Kolkata → Dimapur (Train Journey).

Board a train from Sealdah / Howrah to Dimapur (e.g., Kamrup Express, Saraighat Express).

Overnight journey in the train.

Day 2: Arrival in Dimapur & Transfer to Kohima

Reach Dimapur in the morning have breakfast and explore: Dimapur Ruins (Kachari Ruins)Nagaland Zoological Park Diezephe Craft Village (optional)After lunch, take a shared taxi or private cab to Kohima (2-3 hours). Check into a hotel and rest.

Evening: Visit Kohima Night Market (if visiting in December).

Night Stay: Kohima.

Day 3: Explore Kohima & Kisama Village.

Visit Kohima War Cemetery, State Museum, Kisama Heritage Village (Hornbill Festival site, if in December), Catholic Cathedral (offers a panoramic view).

Evening: Leisure time at Kohima local market for Naga handicrafts & souvenirs.

Night Stay: Kohima.

Day 4: Kohima → Dzükou Valley Trek (Overnight in Tents)

Early morning, drive to Viswema/Zakhama (Dzukou base, 1-hour drive), Trek to Dzükou Valley (4-5 hours), Explore the breathtaking valley, seasonal flowers, and streams.

Overnight stay in tents or dormitories at the Dzükou Valley rest Hours

Day 5: Dzükou Valley → Kohima → Khonoma Village Stay.

Morning exploration of Dzükou & Trek back to the base and return to Kohima After lunch, proceed to Khonoma Green Village (45 min drive).

Explore:

Traditional Naga Houses

Fortified village & nature conservation sites

Terraced paddy fields

Overnight in a homestay in Khonoma.

Day 6: Khonoma → Mokokchung (Ao Naga Region),

Early morning drive to Mokokchung (6-7 hrs) Check-in at a homestay/hotel.

Explore:

Longkhum Village (Ao Naga culture, rock formations)

Ungma Village (one of Nagaland’s oldest villages)

Evening: Enjoy local Ao Naga cuisine.

Overnight stay in Mokokchung.

Day 7: Mokokchung → Dimapur → Train to Kolkata.

Depart from Mokokchung Early In The Morning Drive Back To Dimapur Railway Station (7-8 hours) Catch An Overnight Train To Kolkata.

Day 8: Arrival In Kolkata

Reach Kolkata By Morning Or Afternoon(Depend on Train Time) Ending the Trip.
