Itinerary

Day 1: Howrah To Guwahati.

03.55 PM Board Saraighat Express (12345) from Howrah station. Stay overnight in the train today.

Day 2: Exploring Guwahati

Reach Guwahati in the morning and check in at the hotel. After lunch,

  • Visit Kamakhya Temple, a famous Shakti Peeth.
  • Explore Umananda Temple on Peacock Island.
  • Take a sunset Brahmaputra River cruise.
  • Visit Assam State Museum (optional).

Overnight stay at this hotel in Guwahati.

Day 3: Guwahati To Bhalukpong

After breakfast, drive to Bhalukpong (260kms/6hrs) The gateway to Arunachal Pradesh. Enjoy scenic views along the way. Visit Tipi Orchid Research Centre. Relax by the Kameng River.. It will be late afternoon by the time you reach Bhalukpong. Tonight, you will spend the night at this Bhalukpong hotel.

 

Day 4: Bhalukpong To Dirang

After breakfast, drive to Dirang (150kms/7 hrs). After completing the ILP permission work, we will visit Tipi Orchidarium, Upper Monastery. Visit Dirang Dzong (fort) and Sangti Valley. Explore hot water springs for a relaxing dip on the way. After stopping the car at the Nag Temple for a while and seeing the Nag Temple, we will proceed towards Dirang. We will reach Dirang in the evening and spend the night in Dirang.

Day 5:Dirang To Tawang.

After breakfast, we will start our journey towards Tawang via Sela Tunnel. On the way, we will see Yashwantgarh and have lunch. We will reach Tawang in the evening and spend the night at the hotel in Tawang.

Day 6: Exploring Tawang.

After breakfast, local sightseeing (Tawang Monastery, Handicraft Center, War Memorial,Nuranang Waterfall etc.). We will return to the hotel for lunch. This afternoon, you can walk around Tawang and do some shopping. Tonight, we will spend the night in Tawang.

Day 7: Exploring Tawang

After breakfast, you can start your journey to Sangster Lake via PTSO via Bumla Pass (China Border) but completely at your own expense. We will return to the hotel for lunch. The evening is free for you. Today, overnight stay in Tawang.

Day 8: Tawang To Bomdila.

After breakfast, start for Bomdila (185 km/7 hours) – After seeing JUNG Falls, we will move to Bomdila via Sela Pass. You can visit the monastery and local market in Bomdila. Today, overnight stay in Bomdila.

Day 9: Bomdila to Kaziranga.

After breakfast, start the journey from Bomdila to Kaziranga (110 km/6 hours). Today, overnight stay in Kaziranga.

Day 10: Kaziranga Jungle safari

Early morning, enjoy an elephant safari in Kaziranga jungle (at your own expense). You can also enjoy a jeep safari. After returning from safari, after breakfast, we will leave for Guwahati. We will reach Guwahati hotel in the middle of the way for lunch. We will finish the shopping phase. Tonight we will stay at Guwahati hotel.

Day 11: Return to Kolkata

It is time to take the train home with all the memories of our dreams. In the morning after breakfast (10:00AM) we will check out and leave for the station. Tonight we will stay in the train.

Day 12: Early in the morning, we will return to Kolkata while remembering the memories in our minds. We will have to sink into that familiar zone again
